Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Team Lead to oversee data engineering, analytics, automation, and platform operations initiatives. This role provides technical leadership for a team responsible for supporting and enhancing an enterprise business intelligence platform that enables data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader, mentor, and facilitator, ensuring the reliability, availability, scalability, and quality of critical data platforms and services. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and project coordination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Gather stakeholder requirements, evaluate available data sources, and develop solutions to deliver meaningful metrics and insights.
  • Lead technical teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of data engineering, analytics, and automation projects.
  • Break down complex initiatives into actionable tasks and measurable milestones.
  • Identify and remove technical roadblocks to support successful project execution.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Define and document project scope, technical requirements, and implementation plans.
  • Promote and integrate site reliability engineering (SRE) practices to improve platform stability, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, design records, meeting agendas, and project artifacts.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts for platform operations, monitoring, and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline and twelve (12) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Four (4) additional years of directly related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Technical Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and coordinating complex projects.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to stakeholder success.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale software deployment and operational architectures.
  • Experience with or exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical and operational documentation.
  • Ability to balance technical leadership responsibilities with hands-on problem solving and team support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing or supporting Apache NiFi data integration solutions.
  • Experience working with Elasticsearch and Kibana for search, analytics, and visualization.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed data processing platforms, such as Hadoop or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data analytics, business intelligence, or operational data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle management, data governance, and data integration architectures.
