We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer – Level 2 to support mission-critical analytic systems in a classified environment. This role supports complex software development efforts across programs of similar scope, type, and complexity, and requires deep experience with Java-based architectures, analytics frameworks, and enterprise DevSecOps tooling.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, familiarity with intelligence community analytic processes, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, secure mission environment.
Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications supporting analytic mission needs
Contribute to development and sustainment of analytic frameworks and data processing pipelines
Support Portable Map Reduce (PMR)–based processing and analytics
Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Framework and Spring Boot
Integrate and support data flow and notification services using NiFi and Notifier
Participate in analytic validation processes and represent engineering efforts as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, system engineers, and mission stakeholders
Utilize enterprise DevSecOps tools for source control, issue tracking, and CI/CD
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues across development and operational environments
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Four (4) additional years of relevant Software Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Strong proficiency with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
Experience with enterprise development and collaboration tools
GhostMachine analytic experience
Experience with Portable Map Reduce (PMR) frameworks
Familiarity with the AVP process and experience representing to AVG
Experience with Apache NiFi and Notifier
Proficiency with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Experience using GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines
Work in a highly secure environment supporting a critical Intelligence Community mission
Collaborate with top engineers and data scientists to build cutting-edge analytics tools
