
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Salary Range: $170,000 – $190,000
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep experience designing, building, and supporting scalable, secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines in cloud-based environments. This role supports complex, mission-critical systems and requires strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate is highly technical, self-driven, and comfortable collaborating across mid- to large-sized engineering teams.
Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications
Drive consistency and standardization for build, deployment, and release processes
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable delivery
Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to support Agile and DevOps practices
Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Translate customer and product requirements into production-ready infrastructure and automation solutions
Contribute to system reliability, scalability, performance, and security
Actively share knowledge, mentor team members, and participate in technical collaboration
Cloud Platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3, EC2, VPCs & Networking, ECS/EKS
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), container registries
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and/or CloudFormation
CI/CD: Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
Automation & Scripting: Python, Bash, Ruby (or similar scripting languages)
Operating Systems: Linux
Experience working on large, demonstrable projects, preferably hosted in AWS environments
Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Systems Engineer or DevOps Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
OR
Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and DevOps best practices
Self-driven, proactive learner with a collaborative team mindset
Ability to work in a secure environment
CWIP IAT Level I certification required
