Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Systems Administrator / Engineer to support and manage a secure IT infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Linux and Windows environments, virtualization platforms, and security systems, and will thrive in a fast-paced, mission-focused setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows operating systems in enterprise and mission environments

  • Deploy and manage virtualized environments using VMWare technologies

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and support Secure Terminal Equipment (STE) and Secure Telephone Network (STN) devices

  • Manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including certificate services and secure authentication systems

  • Monitor system performance, conduct routine system maintenance, and ensure system integrity and uptime

  • Apply security updates, patches, and STIGs in compliance with security standards

  • Provide support for system audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident responses

  • Collaborate with security and network teams to ensure systems meet accreditation and compliance requirements

  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures


Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

  • 20 years of experience in systems administration, engineering, or related IT field

  • Security+ certification (DoD 8570 baseline requirement)

  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration

  • Experience configuring and managing VMWare virtualization environments

  • Experience supporting STE/STN communications hardware

  • Strong understanding of PKI systems and certificate management

  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments
