Corporate & Real Estate Attorney (In-House)

 

Location: Sylvan Lake, Michigan (In-Office, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Compensation: $155,000 – $185,000 base salary + performance bonuses (commensurate with experience)

 

About the Role

Green Zoned Realty is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate & Real Estate Attorney to join our in-house legal team. This is a transactional role focused on supporting real estate and corporate operations, with an emphasis on due diligence, deal execution, and regulatory compliance.

 

This position works closely with internal stakeholders on a high volume of transactions and plays a key role in ensuring smooth, compliant closings across our portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage real estate and license transactions from initial due diligence through closing  

- Review, draft, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, and related transactional documents for both real estate and license sales  

- Conduct title and survey review, and coordinate with title companies and outside counsel  

- Oversee and execute closings, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met  

- Support corporate transactions, including entity formation, structuring, and governance  

- Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable state and local regulations  

- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with transactions and operations  

- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support business objectives  

 

Qualifications

- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Michigan Bar  

- 4–8+ years of experience in real estate and/or corporate transactional law  

- Strong experience with due diligence, closings, and document negotiation  

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously  

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities  

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment  

 

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior in-house experience  

- Experience with high-volume transactional work  

- Familiarity with regulated industries (real estate, cannabis, or similar) is a plus
