Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support mission-critical programs within a secure environment. This role involves supporting system architecture, deployment, and sustainment activities while ensuring compliance with evolving security and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in containerized environments and collaborate closely with both engineering teams and mission stakeholders.
Support the design, deployment, and sustainment of secure systems within complex technical environments
Configure and manage containerized infrastructure with a focus on Kubernetes networking, configuration, and deployment
Support compliance-driven sustainment activities, ensuring systems meet security and operational standards
Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and mission stakeholders to ensure system reliability and performance
Maintain documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures using enterprise documentation and tracking tools
Adapt system configurations and solutions to evolving security and mission requirements
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
Five (5) additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking, configuration, and deployment in secure environments
Ability to support compliance-driven sustainment activities with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent collaboration and communication skills when working with both technical teams and mission stakeholders
Strong documentation and tracking skills using enterprise tools
Ability to quickly adapt to evolving security requirements and mission needs
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Salt, or Ansible
Familiarity with Rancher, Helm, and advanced Kubernetes capabilities
Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Grafana
Security+ (CWIP) or equivalent certification preferred
