Job Title: Wildlife Sales Consultant – Certified Wildlife Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission | Exempt
Compensation: $36,000 base + uncapped commission (First-year potential: $70,000–$80,000+)
Location: Field-based role in the Lansing, MI area (local travel required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, plus Saturdays as needed (overtime as required)
Reports To: Sales Manager


About the Role

As a Wildlife Sales Consultant, you’ll meet with homeowners to inspect properties for wildlife issues, recommend customized solutions, and close sales. Your mission? Help clients protect their homes while growing your income in a performance-driven, commission-based role.


 Key Responsibilities

Sales & Inspection Duties:

  • Engage with pre-qualified, inbound leads—no cold calling.

  • Conduct thorough wildlife inspections inside and outside residential properties, including attics, crawl spaces, and roofs.

  • Identify wildlife or pest problems and propose tailored removal and prevention solutions.

  • Present inspection findings and detailed proposals to customers using the ServiceBridge platform.

  • Collect deposits and final payments.

  • Document all findings and client interactions for internal communication and follow-up.

  • Attend sales meetings and training to stay sharp and informed.

  • Drive and maintain company vehicles and safety equipment.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build rapport with homeowners and educate them on effective wildlife control strategies.

  • Respond to questions and objections with confidence and professionalism.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service that earns trust and referrals.


What You Bring

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in B2C sales, home services sales, or commission-based roles.

  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong work ethic with a hunter’s mentality—you’re driven to close deals and exceed targets.

  • Physical ability to climb ladders, access attics/crawl spaces, and work outdoors in various conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

  • Must pass background check and drug screening.

  • Tech-savvy and able to document inspections using mobile apps and digital tools.

  • Comfortable working around wildlife.

Preferred:

  • Basic construction or home repair knowledge.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Previous experience in pest control, wildlife removal, or related fields.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary wildlife handling licenses/certifications.


Work Environment

  • Hands-on work in attics, crawl spaces, roofs, and outdoor settings.

  • Exposure to all weather conditions.

  • Frequent local travel (company vehicle provided).

  • Handling of wildlife and use of pesticides (PPE provided).
