Job Summary: The Tech 1 is responsible for completing the work of removing/excluding unwanted animals according to customers work orders, conducting remediation activities and putting preventative measures in place. This position will work as part of a team on large jobs or do individual jobs. The Tech 1 also provides coaching and leadership to the Tech 2 they work with on a daily basis. The Tech 1 performs essential job functions and other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor. Classification: Full-time/Hourly Work Location: Local travel Work Schedule: Monday-Friday and Weekends as needed. Reports To: Service Supervisor
Makes sure proper notes and pictures are put in work orders on Service Bridge.
Removes unwanted animals according to customers work orders, conducting remediation activities and putting preventative measures in place.
Inspects completed job for quality and completion.
Maintains quality results by adhering to company standards.
Maintains safe work habits by following company standards.
Operates and maintains service vehicle and equipment safely and ensures cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment.
Maintains clean/safe job sites. Makes sure all tools and trash are cleaned up and on the truck.
Coaches Tech 2 and new employees on proper use of the company supplied safety equipment (harnesses, proper anchor point installation)
Coaches Tech 2 in ladder and roof safety on job sites
Customer Service: 5% (approx. 2 hrs/wk)
Provides the customer with world class customer service.
Addresses customer questions and concerns.
Is courteous and polite.
Has a world class appearance and ensure vehicle also has world class appearance.
SKILL/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE Required:
Customer-focused and great customer service skills to ensure satisfaction.
Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulation.
Construction skills. Competent with hand tools, minor roofing and exterior repairs
Ability and comfort discussing additional services that meet customer needs.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills as you interact with customers, office staff, and service managers.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, including, but not limited to monthly courses pertinent to the industry.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Work Environment: Bending, kneeling and crawling into tight spaces to carry out site work. Requires standing for a long period of time. Ability to safely use ladders and work at heights for long periods of time. Travel: Some local travel required. Must have a valid driver’s license, pass motor vehicle record searchand have and maintain a good driving record that is acceptable to our insurance company.
